I made this as a near ultrasonic sms signal. Created and edited with audacity, filtered with glame bandpass filter. If you hardly cut a pure tone, you introduce a whole lot of other frequencies to the signal at the cutting point. To avoid this after the cutting you need to filter the whole thing with a bandpass filter to ensure you have as little other frequency content as possible. It will audibly soften the start and the end of the sound. That's what i did here.

A unique sound i recorded in bangkok whilst standing on a floating pier waiting for a boat. The pier is made of metal and the sound produced is the empty steel pier rubbing against the pylons with each wave of the river. You can also hear a boat motor as a ferry pulls up to the pier. This is one of many build ups from my personal effects library. I used a time-stretch,and added a heavy eq over it for an added bass effect. It builds from in fade to original volume with re-verb. Enjoy. .

Very strong wind in the beach. I couldn't help laughing blown by tremendously strong wind. My at835st was covered with a wind-protection foam but no use. I dont recommend this file to everybody. It may hurt your speaker system if played loudly. Marantz pmd661.

Recording #1 of my own shirt flapped, snapped, whipped, waved etc. If you pitch-shift this down (or slow it down) it can sound (imo) indistinguishable from, say, a large flag or large sail being pulled and snapped in the wind. This had recording noise removed, and silences auto-trimmed, with auto-regions from that trimming generated and saved in the file (handy for selecting a sound region easily or exporting regions as a lot of separate sounds). I request but do not demand attribution to me for use of this sound.

This sound is entirely made with audacity, i played with the noised and reverberation on several tracks, then i shifted the tracks to create a come and go effect. I also reduced the volume on some parts of the tracks. This sound remind me of a windy weather near the ocean.
